St Jacut de la Mer

St Jacut de la Mer

This part of Brittany has an excellent selection of beaches to enjoy, most of which are within a 40 minute easy drive from Dinan. As we go through the summer , I'll post photos and a guide to some of our favourites to help you choose where to head for!

St Briac sur Mer

Between St Briac sur Mer and St Lunaire, you'll find a number of quiet sandy beaches linked by a coastal footpath. Make your way to St Briac, and then to the free car park at the 'Chemin de la Mare Hue' which is on the edge of the Dinard golf course. Park up , and the beach is a short walk away.

Plage du Prieuré, Dinard

Located in a quiet part of Dinard, the beach offers a nice stretch of sand overlooking St Malo. Less well known , so less crowded than Dinard's other two main beaches, you can park for free here, enjoy the beach and walk along the coast into the town.

Plage de la Touesse

Plage de la Touesse is a long, gently shelving, sandy beach , found on the beautiful stretch of coast between St Malo and Cancale. By car, follow the D201 linking Rotheneuf and Cancale , and there is a small car park , just north of the D201 at the hamlet of Roz Ven. Or on foot, the GR34 footpath runs along this stretch of coast from Cancale to St Malo and follows the beach.

This beach is off the beaten track so quiet and well worth searching out if you're looking for a secluded family beach for swimmng or fishing.
